Why My Umbrella Day?

So what was the inspiration for the name My Umbrella Day?

Well . . . an umbrella day for me, is a day that you may be feeling a little Mary Poppins-like. When you are feeling like you can tackle anything and feel practically perfect in every way!

Okay, let’s face it, most of us don’t feel that way very often. Here is a place where you can come to at least pretend to be Mary Poppins-like.

As I continue to work with families, meeting them for home visits, I am sometimes compared to Ms. Poppins herself.  This is not because of the perfect part, but because of my large bag of goodies that I always have on hand. You just never know what may pop out of that bag.

So pop on over often to get inspiration, ideas, and comfort, knowing that none of us are ever going to be as perfect as Mary Poppins but it sure is fun to pretend.

Note about the picture:  This is a fun craft that my daughter and I created to add to my Mary Poppins collection!  I love it!
